| Background | Wheel complex protein TopJ is a ~100 kDa protein. Component of the wheel complex, part of the cytoskeleton-like structure in the attachment organelle which stabilizes the shape of the wall-less Mycoplasma. Required for correct assembly of adhesin P1 and positioning/maturation of attachment organelle; may function as a co-chaperone with DnaK.
